planetary home on the web

I'm Rajesh. I am a thinkerer and a tinkerer. I studied mathematics, then cognitive science and then the anthropocene, but by inclination I am a generalist who works across fields and connect the dots. If I had to choose between knowledge and imagination, I would pick the imagination every single time, which is something, for I am obsessed with knowledge.

Welcome to my 'umble abode, as they say in some parts of the world. You can click almost anywhere and find something to read or explore. Cultural exploration occupies the second floor on Street Metaphysics, with snippets of philosophy and literature from India, China and Europe. The first floor has investigations into planetary life (aka "Bhumics"); Habitability has been a big concern of mine of late, seeing as we are doing everything within our powers to make the Earth uninhabitable. Cellosophy is a much newer exploration of the origins of mind and cognition in single celled organisms.

There's a third floor on formal investigations, an unfinished attic that will be converted into a proper residence at some point. All of which stands on the foundation of a combination of philosophy, design and engineering I have been calling 'Epistry.' Coining new terms is a side hustle. I also have links to work I am doing with others. Socratus is the organization I founded, a planetary studio that brings together tools and techniques from science, design and art to help citizens solve problems with others.

Then there's the workshop where you can catch me working on new ideas well before they're polished. A lot of those ideas will go into the attic. The Archive in the annex holds more than eight hundred essays written over the past two decades.

Every room has trails. Pick a theme, read a piece, follow a neighbor or take the random twist. I haven't worked out where it begins or where it ends, so start anywhere.
